Portal Guns

I've noticed that with the Portal guns or grab guns that you have a feature to pick up objects. I've also noticed that you are able to pick up chests that are in protected zones that are even protected by a sign. I feel this could potentially be a future problem.

Yeah well aware of this. Once the server goes fully open, i will prolly disable the crafting of these and them spawning in random chest. And make a kit for extremely trusted players on here. Maybe for donators? Not sure.

Portal guns are completely unnecessary because other mods are available to do everything portal guns do WITHOUT the ability to bypass region protections and WITHOUT the ability to create pig spawners with gravity gun glitch. Also, there's the HUGE problem of shooting the moon with a portal gun. I'm requesting portal gun mod be completely removed once the server goes public.

List of mods that do everything portal gun can do:
Qcraft: portals between locations (and these portals are much larger and more versatile)
Extra Utilities: you can move vanilla spawners and lasso friendly mobs - into your inventory!!
MFR: auto-spawner to spawn mobs much faster than a regular spawner - even in full light, and a safari ball to capture hostile mobs
Chicken Chunks: Spot-loader (to load the chunk containing a portal, just like a PortalGun)

That's just what I can think of quickly, but there are other options available using magic and such.

B-b-but meh moon portal.....

Thaumcraft has a fantastic teleportation system. The only real drawback is that it can't work between dimensions

I see where your coming from grim but portal guns are so cool and awesome yes other mods can teleport you but using portal guns is a quick portable way to teleport also great for spawner movement also can't gravity guns move chests to not sure if they can move private ones tho all and all I agree with pax disabling the chest spawn and crafting seems like a good idea.
